Occupational Therapy Services

Why are our occupational therapy services different?

We believe everyone should be able to do the things that matter to them, in their own way. Our occupational therapy services are here to support you with everyday things that make up your life. This could be getting dressed, joining in with things you enjoy, managing routines, feeling calm, or doing well at school or work.

We take time to get to know you. Your strengths, what feels hard, and what goals you want to work towards. We listen to what you want to do more easily, more independently, or with more joy. We work with you to find ways to make these happen.

Our work might involve using visuals or sensory supports, building daily living or motor skills, or exploring ways to make things feel easier.

We focus on rights, safety, and inclusion. You decide what’s right for you. We’re here to support your goals and help you with the things you do each day that matter to you.

Our Services OT

Who do our occupational therapists work with?

Our occupational therapists support people of all ages. We work with people who may find everyday activities tricky due to disability, sensory, mental health, physical or developmental needs. We also work with families, support teams, and educators to build consistent supports.

Occupational therapy is for anyone who needs some help doing the things they need or want to do in their everyday life.

What do our occupational therapists do?

We learn about the person’s daily routines, strengths, and goals. We then help with skills, tools, or strategies to make life easier. This could be helping someone with emotional regulation, setting up visual schedules, or trialling assistive equipment.

Our occupational therapists will:

  • Talk with the person and their supporters to learn what is important to them.

  • Do some assessment to look at how things are going across home, school, or community.

  • Use task analysis to break down activities and make things easier or more achievable.

  • Work with the person and their supporters to set goals that are meaningful to them.

  • Help the person to build skills and try new sensory supports, try new ideas, and use new equipment.

  • Complete sensory assessments to understand how the person experiences and responds to their surroundings.

  • Develop transport plans, including complex transport assessments, to support safe and accessible travel options.

Our occupational therapists can also write Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs), Specialist Disability Accomodation (SDA) Reports, and Complex Home Modification Reports that meet NDIS requirements.
